Take the whole family to the Halifax Central Library for a rockin’ Fathers day dance party. We are excited to present performances by KIDZACT, Laura Selenzi and Nostos Collectives. Learn our Fuse Flash Mob, suitable for all ages; this is your chance to perform at the Fuse Festival Canada Day!
KIDZACT brings LA style hip-hop dance to the East Coast. Their group combines dance skills, tricks and props to produce a thrilling performance for all ages. With 22 dancers from ages 8-18 everyone will love learning the moves for all abilities and ages. KIDZACT will perform and share some of their best moves with the audience. Kids are welcome on the stage to learn a routine and breakdancing moves!
Laura Selenzi is Co-founder of Serpentine Studios in Halifax and former lead dancer in Arabesque Dance Company, Laura has dedicated 19 years of study to this art form, priding herself on professionalism and artistry. Belly dance uses core movements for a fun and creative dance experience.
Nostos Collectives is a group of emerging dance artists based in Halifax and Toronto. Embracing contemporary dance as their main form of expression. Their work includes a variety of styles within that form, which is demonstrated in the stylistic diversity of dancers in Nostos.
Our Fuse Flash mob will be choreographed by Fuse Artistic Director Maria Osende with moves that are easy to learn and remember. The Fuse Flash Mob is a part of our free dance library series and will be performed at Fuse Festival Canada Day 150 celebration at the Commons. See you there!
